I was in Africa in 2016. They said, 20 years prior, when flying into Africa, it wasn’t uncommon to see heards of Elephants out of your plane window. When I was there, I heard that it wasn’t uncommon for people who were there to go on safari, to sometimes go days without seeing any African wildlife.
I spent nearly a month out in the bush, volunteering with orphaned and rescued elephants. Out in Kafue National Park. Every morning, walking along with a herd of elephants, that might one day, choose to stay out in wild. Majestic creatures. Beautiful to watch.
