So, in the spring, in Skagit Valley WA., is the Tulip Festival. There are fields, and fields of tulips. Along with the departure of the snow geese, the blooming of the cherry blossom trees, the Tulips are another promise of Spring. Now, I am an admirer of flowers, but I was never moved one way or another over tulips. Until, seeing the tulips in the fields. Until living somewhere again that had 4 seasons. The tulips in the fields are not anything like the ones you see in the floral section of your local grocery. The tulips in the fields… The flowers seem nearly as big as your head. Ok, well, maybe not quite that big, but, you surely know what I mean. I mean, their size alone is surprising, and beautiful all in itself. And, the colors. … And, the varieties. So worth making time for. So worth seeing. A photo, although as close as there is to being there, cannot totally capture it. You really have to go. However, nothing lasts forever, and sometimes the photo has to be enough. … Mosey me… Wander me .. Stop and smell the flowers. Go, to see the flowers. See what awaits. Enjoy your time.
